Project Site Coordinator - FSAC&WASH
- Location:
Hodeidah\ Az-Zuhara District - Hodeida Governorate (with regular travel to
other sites).
- Period:
8 months, renewable subject to performance.
- Duty
Station: Life Makers Meeting Place Organization (LMMPO), Hodeidah
–Yemen.
- Terms: Full
Time Position (8 Eight hours per working day), with field visits to the
work sites.

grade: - Five degree.

LMMPO is keen to have a competent candidate to fill the position of Project
Site Coordinator
Purpose/Scope of the task
Role: provide guidance to the various site management
; ensure that all the activities serve the intended objectives build
strong links and coordination with the local authorities and other
international & local NGOs in regard to the project implementation; write
monthly reports on activities; participate in monthly and regular meetings with
the local communities and partners and discuss project implementation; A
persons from the district will be recruited and will be responsible of all
activity-based clearances and coordinating with the authorities, ease access of
the team to the district, make direct follow up and supervision of the project
implementation. This will facilitate the implementation and coordination with
local authority and related parties in the field.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
1) Ensure effective coordination with
relevant authorities and stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of
project activities in Az Zuhrah District.
2) Follow up on obtaining sub-permits from the SCMCHA
office. Coordinate field activities and facilitate the project team’s movements
with relevant government entities.
3) Manage community committee members and take responsibility
for tracking their performance and submitting their reports.
4) 4) Field coordination for the project team and
facilitating its movements in coordination with the relevant authorities and
concerned persons.
5) Address problems and obstacles that hinder the progress of
fieldwork and ensure the continuity of project implementation.
6) Report any exceptional issues or disruptions affecting
project progress to the Project Manager and follow up on resolving them.
7) Support the Project Manager in preparing plans and implementing
field activities in line with the security conditions of the sub-district.
8) Coordinate and supervise the implementation of project
activities in collaboration with the Project Manager.
9) Ensure the approval of minutes, attendance sheets, and
handover documents by local authorities and other relevant bodies.
10) Facilitate the movement of contractors and suppliers
within the district, in coordination with local authorities, government
agencies, and security services.
11) Submit monthly reports to the Project Manager.
12) Participate in monthly and regular meetings with local
communities and partners to discuss project progress.
13) Participate in project-related assessments and monitor
the implementation of activities throughout the project period.
14) Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
Study and Training:
- A
bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate/diploma or similar
qualification from a recognized establishment or equivalent experiences.
Languages:
- It is
better to have English Languages (Speaking and Writing).
Experience & Skills:
- At
least 3 years’ professional experience in a comparable position including
extensive fieldwork.
- Excellent
interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability
to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively.
- Ability
to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural contexts.
- Proven
ability of using office project system.
