Project Manager - FSAC&CCCM
- Location:
Dhamar Governorates (with regular travel to other sites).
- Period:
9 months, renewable subject to performance.

Station: Life Makers Meeting Place Organization (LMMPO), Sana’a, Dhamar
city–Yemen.

LMMPO is keen to have a competent candidate to fill the position of Project
Manager - FSAC&CCCM.
Purpose/Scope of the task
Project Manager works directly with the supporting
administration to create a work plan and provide supervision and support to
relevant project staff regarding the implementation of project in the field.
Project manager will be responsible of the daily affairs, monitoring and follow
up the implementation of the project. (80% of his/her time would be in field
and 20% would be in head office). Following up the implementation of activities
of the project. In addition to preparing the final reports and he or she will
role in the field by visiting the field during the implementation of all the
project activities and to provide mentoring sessions for the project field
staff as required. (Head & Field Office communication, reporting).
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Project Planning: -
1. Develop project implementation tools,
and materials as needed;
2. Plan and follow the various stages of project
implementation and set direction by prioritizing and organizing activities and
resources to achieve project objectives for field teams.
3. Represents LMMPO and ensure Head of
Programs Unit and other relevant colleagues remain involved and up-to-date on
key discussions of the consortium.
4. Ensures the inclusion of key humanitarian partners within
the sector, respecting their mandates and Programs priorities.
5. Gathers the cluster members and service providers to
identify the overall requirements in responding to IDP site and camp-like
situations.
6. Supports development of funding proposal, project budgets
and donor reports.
7. Ensures capacity building of project staff and transfer
key skills.
8. Ensure the quality of planning, implementation, follow up,
and lessons learnt of all technical aspects of the sector activities
9. Ensure adequate monitoring, reporting and information
sharing mechanisms are in place.
10. Ensure camp needs assessment and analysis involves all
relevant partners and identify gaps – assess, verify, and map emerging
assistance needs and protection concerns.
11. conduct regular ‘gap analyses’ based on verified needs.
12. Ensures effective coordination with management unit and
other NGO Implementing partners members and (pro-)active engagement in (with)
relevant clusters and local authorities.
13. Supervises all FSAC &CCCM activities in the targeted
sites, coordination with local authorities, IDP and host communities, NGO
partners and the FSAC &CCCM Sub-National Cluster for the planning and
implementation of interventions at the site level.
14. Ensure the project staff have the required expertise in
managing FSAC &CCCM activities.
15. Maintains close relations with the Partner’s management
in charge for the project, in coordination with the Head of the NGO partner,
and with UNHCR FO and FSAC &CCCM Focal Points.
16. Contributes and coordinate with members to harmonize the
CM / Site Management approaches, tools and methodologies and any other
technical discussions.
17. Identifies priorities, Programmer plan, and assist the
implementation of all CM projects;
18. Provides all CM staff with the necessary technical
guidance, including documents and coaching, for the implementation of the CM
portfolio.
19. Makes and follow-up on technical and operational
recommendations for improved impact and integration and leveraging synergies.
20. Coordinate registration of IDP populations, paying
particular attention to gender, age and diversity dimensions; and updating of
population registry.
21. ·Supports Office in the recruitment of new FSAC &CCCM
staff.
22. Standardize CM system and related tools.
23. Develops and embed monitoring, evaluation and complaint
mechanism procedures and practices in the project-life-cycle.
24. Ensures quality control and site monitoring to ensure
that CM services are provided according to required standards as per national
cluster guidelines.
25. ·Responsible for monitoring of expected outputs and
outcomes, including quality improvement plan.
26. Innovates and promote the uptake of appropriate
technologies that enable to deliver services.
27. Ensures high quality reports are submitted on time.
28. Promotes strategies to build up and strengthen confidence
between communities within IDP sites, as well as between camp residents and
surrounding communities.
29. Manage NFI and emergency shelter distributions as
required including ensuring sequencing of assistance to new arrivals.
30. Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally
in such a manner as to bring credit to LMMPO and to not jeopardize its
humanitarian mission.
31. Any other tasks related to the project.
Qualifications and Skills
- A
university degree in management or a related field.
- At
least 5 years of work experience with local and international
organizations in the same field required.
- At
least 3-5 years of experience in the same field (working in the Emergency
Food Security and CCCM Support for the vulnerable IDPs and Host Communities.
Languages:
- Fluent
in Arabic and English (Speaking & Writing).
