Job Description :
Assume responsibility for managing, planning, implementing,
monitoring, and closing the organization’s projects at the Aden office. This
ensures that project goals are achieved with efficiency and effectiveness,
while maintaining full compliance with donor requirements and the approved
policies and procedures of Pure Hands.
Terms of Employment :
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Project Management and Planning:
- Prepare
detailed project work plans in coordination with the Office Manager and
relevant teams.
- Supervise
project implementation according to objectives, timelines, and approved
budgets.
- Monitor
performance indicators and ensure project outputs meet the specified
standards.
2. Project Proposal Development:
- Lead
the preparation and drafting of new project proposals in collaboration
with the office team.
- Analyze
needs and collect necessary data to develop proposals aligned with donor
priorities and the local context.
- Contribute
to the preparation of project budgets in coordination with the finance
department.
3.Coordination with Authorities and Partners:
- Coordinate
directly with official entities (governmental and non-governmental) to
facilitate project implementation and obtain required approvals.
- Build
and strengthen effective partnerships with local partners and implementing
organizations.
- Represent
the organization in project-related meetings and committees.
4. Field Monitoring and Supervision:
- Conduct
regular field visits to project implementation sites.
- Supervise
field teams and ensure compliance with work plans.
- Identify
operational challenges and risks and take appropriate corrective
actions.
5.Reporting and Knowledge Management:
- Prepare
periodic reports (progress, interim, and final) in line with donor and
management requirements.
- Document
achievements, lessons learned, and challenges.
- Contribute
to improving documentation systems and project filing processes.
6. Project Closure:
- Oversee
technical and administrative project closure procedures.
- Ensure
all deliverables are completed and handed over according to approved
plans.
- Prepare
final closure reports and ensure proper archiving of project
documents.
7. Other Duties:
- Perform
any other tasks assigned by management within the scope of the role.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s
degree in Project Management, Development, Business Administration, or a
related field.
- Minimum
of 2–4 years of experience in managing and implementing humanitarian or
development projects.
- Proven
experience in preparing and managing project proposals and donor
reports.
- Strong
planning, monitoring, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent
communication, coordination, and team management skills.
- Proficiency
in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office; familiarity with
project management systems is an advantage.
- Ability
to work in the field and handle work pressure.
