SOUL for Development is a national NGO, founded in February
1997 by a group of Yemeni professionals out of their desire to achieve a higher
quality of life for Yemeni women and children. Since its inception, it has
implemented over 80 development interventions in 18 out of Yemen's 22
governorates, benefiting over 5, 500,000 people. As a result, the organization
has established itself among the most effective civil society organizations in
Yemen that are working on health, education, and WASH issues in support of
women, children, and youth. Operating out of its Headquarters in Sana’a and its
offices in Taiz and Aden, SOUL, provides critical educational, health, and WASH
services to urban and rural communities.

Title: Field Assistant.

Job Description:
The field assistant will work to supervise the targeted
health facilities and areas in close coordination with the project team. Making
sure that indicators are met, meeting beneficiaries to get their feedback about
the project.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure
coordination with all local stakeholders and health offices in all
districts.
- Work
closely with the project manager to achieve project objectives and targets
effectively and efficiently.
- Be
responsible for the health workers in the targeted health facility and
manage facility activities, including identifying and verifying vulnerable
beneficiaries.
- Support
the project team in gathering and compiling assessments and obtaining
accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
- Participate
in field visits for monitoring assessment activities.
- Assist
in coordination meetings and awareness sessions at the community level.
- Improve
the quality of health services delivered at supported facilities through
supervisory support, on-the-job training, monitoring, technical support,
and organizing trainings for health staff.
- Monitor
health workers daily to ensure adherence to technical guidelines.
- Ensure
project indicators are met and collect beneficiary feedback on services
provided.
- Collect
and compile project data regularly and submit statistical reports,
narrative reports, and success stories to the project manager.
- Participate
in field visits for monitoring rehabilitation work at supported
facilities, ensuring quality according to BOQs and standards.
- Ensure
all field-level reports are accurately prepared and submitted on time.
- Conduct
periodic checks on attendance sheets and cross-check with monthly reports,
follow-up cards, and relevant documents.
- Provide
accurate information, data analysis, and timely documentation to support
situation analysis, sector input, and reporting.
- Implement
the work plan and ensure planned results are delivered through technical
support and coordination.
- Ensure
clinical protocols are accessible to medical staff and support adherence.
- Prepare
success stories and ensure proper documentation of project achievements.
- Contribute
to developing training materials, tools, and facilitating health and
nutrition-related trainings for health workers.
- Support
the delivery of Health, Hygiene, and Nutrition education messages to
project beneficiaries and the wider community.
- Ensure
proper documentation of achievements, lessons learned, and best practices
throughout implementation.
- Perform
any other related tasks as required.
